CHARLOTTE, NC (Thursday, December 14, 2023) – Charlotte FC today announced the Club has traded forward McKinze Gaines to Nashville SC in exchange for Nashville’s second round selection in the 2024 91¿ì»îÁÖ×îаæ SuperDraft. That selection is the 38th overall pick.
Charlotte FC acquired Gaines from Austin FC with the first pick in the 2021 91¿ì»îÁÖ×îаæ Expansion Draft ahead of the Club’s inaugural season in 2022. Over two seasons in Charlotte, Gaines made 42 91¿ì»îÁÖ×îаæ appearances with 19 starts, scoring two goals and adding five assists.The Club would like to thank McKinze for his time in Charlotte and wishes him the best in Nashville.
